General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the hospital is plagued by a serial killer. Someone is injecting digitalis into patients’ IV’s and killing them. Two beloved characters have met an untimely end, and in eerily similar fashion. Can the killer be caught before they strike again?

Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) died at GH after donating her kidney to Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havens). Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) died in his hospital bed after being stabbed in the park. Both had good prognoses and were alert and talking prior to their demise.

The town is spooked by the deaths, and the hospital staff is even more concerned. Healthy patients suddenly dying is not good for business. If this keeps up, will the hospital lose patients and revenue to Mercy?

The deaths have GH fans speculating like crazy online: What exactly is going, why, and who is the culprit?

Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is getting the lion’s share of fingers pointed at him. His shady past always catches up to him no matter how many bible verses he spouts.

Cyrus is the supposedly reformed brother of Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and some fans are speculating that Cyrus knew Dex is Jason’s long lost son. This hasn’t been declared on the show, but some GH fans believe that Jason was Dex’s father, a fact unknown to either man.

If Cyrus is the culprit, why would he kill Sam? One reason is that he is targeting Jason’s loved ones. It may also have been to get Sam out of the way of his niece Lulu and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).

If indeed Cyrus is out to get back at Jason, killing Dex makes sense—if Dex is Jason’s son.
