She is not out to get Sharon because of their pained past. This is also about something other than Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), as was so often true in daytime days gone by.
No. Phyllis sees that her son could be convicted of murder and spend many years or maybe the rest of his life behind bars. So that’s why she made her plea at Genoa City’s Athletic Club’s entrance. And then Sharon ran off.

Sharon is running from her conscience. That’s what the projection of Nick and now Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) represent.
But Sharon is having increasing trouble keeping herself together. The recent sight of ghoulish Heather was a turn from Cameron Kirsten’s (Linden Ashby) darkness contrasted with Hologram Nick’s good angel suggestions.
Case is delivering one of the best of her many great arc efforts. This version of Sharon descended into madness the night she seemingly killed Heather and dumped her body. All that’s followed is tortured mental chaos.

Daniel is doing more than trying to clear his name. He wants justice for the woman he was in love with for many years.
But he currently has no defense. So, agreeing to allow Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) to be his defense attorney was shrewd. Her aim is to create reasonable doubt, and that’s where Sharon enters the frame.
Summer Newman’s (Allison Lanier) talk with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) at Society may move the soapy needle. She influences him because of their personal relationship.
Chance should reconsider Sharon following Summer’s claim. Lanier’s character believes that Phyllis is onto something. Summer’s attitude is shifting because of the fear she saw in Sharon’s eyes.

Sharon conjured Cameron as a means to project her rage. She invented a version of Nick to counter the horror that was apparently committed.
But seeing a dead Heather at the cottage was something new. That mental image represented stone-cold guilt.
All could be exposed if Heather appears in Sharon’s mind at a time when Chance is present. He has the power and authority to make Sharon a person of interest, with all other character’s speculation being nothing more than that.
Of course, Christine’s presence with Sharon during a Heather appearance could also prove very problematic. If Daniel’s lawyer believes she sees evidence of Sharon’s guilt, his dilemma could begin to be dealt with firmly.
