So, Brooke will not get past this perceived slight if Ridge continues to back Steffy. That indicates a family break is ahead, with the family being Ridge’s combined family with Brooke and Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig).

Assuming Eric and Ridge’s rejection of Carter’s idea holds, it doesn’t mean FC’s COO will grow increasingly frustrated toward an eventual break. His fall into love with Hope and her acceptance of him implies that Hope for the Future will reappear in a different form.
Carter said he would invest his money into the plan he wants to implement. Brooke is independently wealthy. Both factors make it plausible that HFTF will become the front of a new company. A good question is whether FC would legally block Hope from using her branded name.

Hope finds herself in yet another controversial scenario at work with a new man. This time, her rivalry with Steffy went well beyond what Hope anticipated.
Being fired and potentially losing access to HFTF is devastating. However, as was referenced earlier, Hope is protected because her mother can fund a breakaway company.
Carter can pursue his luxury brand option if he either quits FC in protest or, like Hope, is fired. This storyline is compelling because it taps historical grudges and has a new angle that believably is creating unexpected divisions.
