General Hospital Spoilers: Is Brennan’s Job Offer to Lucky a Means to Combat Sonny?

General Hospital Spoilers reveal WSB Station Chief Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) didn’t waste time tracking Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) down and offered him a job far, far away from home.

Going back to Africa right now sounds appealing to Lucky, who hasn’t felt he had any purpose in being in Port Charles ever since he found out he wasn’t going to be a viable liver donor for his sister, Lulu Falconeri (Alexa Havins).

But at the same time that Brennan showed up offering Lucky a job, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had just tried to coax Lucky into working for him.

While it seemed like Sonny was interested in Lucky sticking around Port Charles, could it be that Brennan is onto Sonny’s efforts and doesn’t want Lucky in Port Chuck or working for the don? Was this job offer just Brennan’s means of getting Lucky out of the picture again?

General Hospital Spoilers — Lucky is a Threat?

It’s possible that Lucky could pose some kind of threat to the WSB’s work in Port Charles, or at least, to Brennan’s work in Port Charles – which remains shrouded in mystery.

No one really knows why he settled there, how he got the appointment in that location or at all, and especially how he got yanked out of prison like he was never arrested to suddenly be indispensable to the WSB all over again.

One would think his new position may have been at risk when he went rogue to help Lucky and the gang in Africa, but it seems he was still rather protected.

Was he aware of Lucky’s whereabouts all along? Was he tracking Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and his diamonds? Is that why Sonny may be a problem for him now that he’s aware of what Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) was up to there?

GH Spoilers Hint Maybe Brennan Was Involved Long Before

It’s possible that Brennan has been tracking people involved in Lucky’s orbit. Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) may even be one of them.

We know very little about his background still, and we aren’t certain that the story he gave Lucky about why he left the world of transplant surgery is actually fully transparent.

While it’s obvious that Lucky didn’t know Brennan before this week, that doesn’t mean Brennan didn’t know all about Lucky. He definitely sounds like he knows about his parents and his background already. He’s done his homework.

General Hospital Spoilers — Is Sonny the Problem?

We wouldn’t be shocked to find there is a mole inside of Sonny’s organization — or even that the WSB may have his phone tapped. It’s possible that Lucky is’t the target here and that Sonny is.

Could there be a reason Brennan doesn’t want Lucky to take up arms with Sonny and accept a job from him — even a legitimate one? Or, is he thinking he can get on Lucky’s good side and befriend him enough to become a plant inside of Sonny’s world?
