General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) has returned to Port Charles. Lucky Spencer’s (Jonathan Jackson) back, and with Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) on the verge of waking up from her long coma, Lucas’ arrival marks a significant reunion for the Spencer family.

General Hospital Spoilers: The Timing Of Lucas’ Return Is Interesting

We need to pay attention to the timing of Lucas’ return. With Lulu on the verge of receiving her liver transplant, there’s a strong chance that Lucas will be present to assist with the surgery for his cousin. H

owever, with Kelly Monaco also set to leave her role as Sam McCall who’s facing death, it appears Lucas is also back to mourn the loss of his biological sister.

Sam has struggled to persuade Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) to stop lying and to cease being Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) alibi in the murder of John Cates (Adam J. Harrington).

While Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is currently innocent and imprisoned for the crime, Carly insists that she and Sonny reignited their romance on the night of John’s murder.

Sam is aware that Carly is being dishonest, yet she feels powerless to convince the owner of Metro Court to come clean.

GH Spoilers: Sam May Pay With Her Life Trying To Clear Alexis

It seems that Sam is gearing up to take a more perilous path in her quest to clear her mother’s name. Recently,  she confided in Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) about her intention to dive where Alexis discarded the gun she discovered in Kristina Corinthos-Davis’ (Kate Mansi) purse the night of the murder.

Although that gun wasn’t the one used in the crime, the police remain unaware of this fact until they retrieve it. Dante cautioned her about the dangers of diving into such turbulent waters, but Sam was adamant that her diving expertise would see her through.

While we can’t say for certain that Sam won’t face dire consequences in her search for the gun, let’s entertain the possibility that things might not go as planned.

General Hospital Spoilers: Many Will Be Devastated And Angry

Many people in town will be heartbroken by her passing, and some may be very angry with Carly and Sonny.

They might think that Sam endangered herself to save her mom from prison, a situation that wouldn’t have happened if Carly had been honest and Sonny had admitted to his crime.

Could Lucas join the group against Carly and Sonny-he surely cares for his adoptive sister Carly, and their relationship has likely grown stronger after Bobbie Spencer’s (Jacklyn Zeman)  death.

However, if he believes Carly’s dishonesty led to losing his other sister, he could easily become very upset. He might confront Carly for always putting herself at risk for Sonny and his illegal activities, expecting others to accept the fallout.
