BIGBANG Reportedly In Talks To Perform At This Year’s MAMA Awards: Here’s What We Know So Far

BIGBANG is reportedly being eyed to perform at the 2024 MAMA Awards. This is coming after band members Daesung and G-dragon reunited with Taeyang onstage at his The Light Year concert in Seoul.

BIGBANG Set To Officially Reunite On MAMA Awards Stage Later This Year

Even though no artists are confirmed yet, reports are claiming that the three-piece band – formerly five-piece before the exit of T.O.P and Seungri – will grace the stage at this year’s 2024 MAMA event on one of the days the event will take place.

The MAMA Awards will take place on November 21 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California, and from November 22-23 at the Kyocera Dome Osaka. If BIGBANG’s performance is confirmed, then it will be their first time performing at the awards show in 9 years, since their group performance in 2015.

What Daesung Has Said About BIGBANG’s Reunion

BIGBANG has been making waves since they reunited for the first time in September at Taeyang’s 2024 solo concert ‘The Light Year.’ Following the reunion, Daesung talked about it on his YouTube show Zip Daesung. “It was pure joy,” he said. “The fact that people still remember us and talk about us is just incredible, you know? For a group that’s almost 20 years old, that’s quite an achievement. I’m truly grateful for that.”

It was their first time singing together since December 2017, and he called the moment a surreal one. “As I looked at Taeyang while performing together on stage, my heart raced. It was such a fun and exciting experience,” he added.

When it comes to performing together in the future, Daesung didn’t say for sure when or where it might happen, but he did tease that “It seems like it’s time for us to reunite on Zip Daesung.”

Apart from the anticipated reunion, G-dragon is scheduled to drop his solo album sometime this year.
