Young and the Restless Spoilers: Joshua Morrow On Why Shick Will Never Be Like Nikki & Victor

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) are THE top super couple in Genoa City. They’ve had their fair share of ups and downs but always seem to land in each other’s arms after any conflict arises.

Soaps.com recently caught up with Joshua Morrow (Nick Newman) who feels as if the Shick romance will never reach Niktor’s status.

Y&R Spoilers: Shick Is ALWAYS Compared To Niktor

Y&R spoilers reveal that Nick and Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) relationship is often compared to that of Nikki and Victor’s. After all, they too have reunited often over the years.

Still, Joshua points to an interesting difference between Shick and Niktor, which is the fact that Nikki and Victor don’t have to contend with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Morrow notes that Red will always be an issue for the Shick romance.

While some may agree that Victor and Nikki have had other great loves in their lives – mainly Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman); however, Morrow believes that Nick could never turn the page on either Sharon or Phyllis, as he’s forever drawn to both of them.

Joshua adds that both ladies are the loves of Nick’s life and are very different. Still, he makes it clear that this love triangle is very special to him.

Y&R Spoilers: Shick Versus Phick

Morrow goes on to explain that the Shick romance is a “young love” storyline, very Romeo-and-Juliet-esque. The two “grew up” together and have also hurt each other in terrible ways.

While Phyllis “literally” saved Nick’s life after Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) passed away. Joshua tells Soaps.com that the Phick romance emerged after such a horrible loss for Nick and “saved” him, as he was spiraling down a bad path.

Morrow also reveals how blessed he is to work with both Michelle Stafford and Sharon Case, noting that the two are good friends of his, and they are both incredible talents.

So, who will Nick end up with?

Morrow states that while #TeamShick and #TeamPhick are constantly at odds, Nick tends to always journey back to one of them. As he notes, “It just depends on what the show wants, but it’ll never go away.”
