Did Jill Dillard Finally Train Her Pup, Fenna?

Jill Dillard and her husband Derick adopted Fenna, a rescue in 2021 and it turned out the pup needed a lot of training. The first night home was a bad one as the pup cried all night. That played out on YouTube, and later, TLC fans found out that rough play was a bit of a hazard for the kids. Do they still have Fenna, and is she trained? Read on to find out. 

Jill Dillard Had Problems With Fenna

Isreal was six when his mom and dad brought Fenna home. Meanwhile, his brother Sam was four. Unfortunately, Fenna was unruly and became dangerous for the children. Their mom complained that the pup snatched food off the table and jumped up on her kids in the yard. So, for a bit, they confined Fenna to an area of the yard and she slept in a kennel. Many Counting On fans were furious and slammed them for it. However, the TLC alum promised that Derick would start training the dog. 

Jill Dillard took to her YouTube about a year ago and confirmed that they still had Fenna. Actually, she did an interesting video about how they tested the DNA to find out the breed. By then, Counting On fans were less likely to troll her because Derick became a lawyer and she won lots of points for writing her book, Counting The Cost. But fans still wonder if they ever trained their pup properly. 

Fenna Has Come A Long Way

This weekend, after Church, the TLC alum posted some reels to her Instagram Stories and revealed they had a pot roast for lunch. Fenna featured in it and she performed some tricks and showed off her discipline when getting some leftovers. Derick Dillard told her to sit, and she did. Then, he told her to lie down, and she did. 

Next, Jill Dillard revealed that the pup had done this before, as she was too quick to roll over. But, Derick corrected her, and she started again. The second attempt saw the pup roll over and then sit again until she got her reward. In the background, TLC fans could hear her boys sounding impressed with their furbaby. Unfortunately, Counting On fans didn’t see the boys as these days, their mom keeps their faces off camera.
