Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that there is no love lost between Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Diane Jenkins-Abbot (Susan Walters).

With that being said, the two have learned to co-exist in Genoa City, and have tried to stay out of each other’s orbits for the sake of peace and their loved ones.

Y&R spoilers note that Phyllis is wholeheartedly supporting Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) in her attempt to gain sole custody of Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell). While her daughter isn’t the boy’s biological mother, he’s the only mom he’s ever known.

Diane does like Summer and in many ways, she wishes that she and Kyle Abbott (Micheal Mealor) never divorced. Diane tried to do all she could to get the couple to reunite but failed miserably.

Still, will an incident during the week of August 5-9 not only create more drama between Skyle but re-ignite the old rivalry between Red and Diane?

Y&R spoilers suggest that the custody battle is about to get far more intense, and it sounds like Harrison will suffer a small mishap under Summer’s watch, the week of August 5-9.

This week’s Y&R preview shows Kyle lashing out at Summer while she’s at the Abbott Mansion, and it seems to be about something that has happened to Harrison.

Unfortunately, Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) will be the one to snitch Summer out, but will Summer be aware of this? If the incident happens at the Abbott Mansion, and Summer goes running to her mom about it, both ladies may simply assume that it was Diane who spilled the beans to her son.

Y&R spoilers for the Friday, August 9 show note that Phyllis will push Diane’s buttons. It looks like these old rivals are about to have a confrontation!

Phyllis may believe that Diane threw Summer under the bus, and she will call her out on it. Regardless, this one face-off could unleash a new feud between the two ladies that have a dark history.

Especially because it looks like Summer will turn to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) for help with her child custody case, and The Moustache might be able to give his granddaughter the upper hand.

Kyle and Diane aren’t in the best of places, but the woman doesn’t want her son to lose custody of his son. All these moving pieces will cause tension and chaos, which could spark more drama between Diane and Red.
