The Young and the Restless spoilers document Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) continues seeing Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby). Despite her attempts to banish the resonate memory of one of her greatest tormentors, she has been unable to do so.
Cameron happened during the period before Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) died. Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) betrayal followed when he coupled with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).
Sharon being off her medication is causing her to ignore warning signs purposely. She has the time sequence mixed in her mind and continues to harbor resentment of all that surrounded Cassie’s death.
A warm blanket is excellent if you want to take a nap or go to sleep. But it can also serve as protection from the outside world.
Sharon is using the memory of Cameron as a justification for the persistence of unhealthy thoughts. She is bitter about what happened between Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei).
But, as Sharon seemingly admitted to herself in the past, she feels responsible for not looking out for Cassie. Case’s character feels that her involvement with Cameron, which created havoc in what was her and Nick’s family, led her not to be focused on her daughter.
She still blames herself for Cassie’s death, and the Cameron projection is a form of transference of responsibility.
Nick understands Sharon more deeply than anyone else, including her children. He is positioned to recognize her problems. Whether Nick responds quickly enough is the question.
If the viewers can see that dazed look in Sharon’s eyes, then why can’t her loved ones? Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) are concerned about their mother.
Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) remains out of the country with Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang). Hopefully, he returns to town soon because his awareness and help are needed.
But Nick knows Sharon’s tortured history. The writer’s decision not to give him a more vital role in this storyline is a bit unbelievable.
Cameron is dead. Yet his memory lives inside Sharon’s mind.
So, why hasn’t someone who has managed her bipolar disorder been able to handle this situation?
Viewers into this storyline have suspended disbelief and accept all or most of what’s being offered. Sharon’s family is concerned about her, but she has masked her symptoms and extended her problem due to events like Faith’s accident.
But the fans want this story to produce a consequential result. So, Sharon may not banish Cameron from her mind before she commits the type of horrible acts she infamously did in daytime days gone by.
