The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) is the killer. But there are reasons to believe that she might not live long.
Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) felt compelled to follow Luna after she left Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) mansion. That choice has already proven life-threatening.
Viewers suspended disbelief when Steffy accepted Luna’s iced tea offer, knowing what was coming. It wasn’t rational that the ever-sharp co-head of Forrester Creations would take a drink from a woman she’d just seen kiss Bill. Yet, she did push the plot.
Tom Starr (Clint Howard) and Paul Hollis Hollister (Hollis W. Chambers) were drugged and died. Luna’s icy stare indicated that Steffy realized that fact was accurate.
Whether Luna worked alone or was aided in some way is unknown. The audience doesn’t have enough information to know if Luna is a lunatic.
She could be based on her acknowledgment of what happened and then putting Steffy in a cage. Luna also framed her mother as a means of replacing her in Bill’s life, a strategy still in play.
Steffy told her husband that she needed to get away. That impulsive decision seemed unusual because John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) told Steffy what happened with Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) the day after the incident occurred.
Blaming Finn for encouraging Hope is not rational. Finn does not have to follow Steffy’s orders to be a good husband, just as she does not have to follow his orders to be a good wife.
So, fans can critique the circumstances leading up to Luna drugging and holding Steffy hostage. The Hope-Finn scenario and Steffy’s response needed to happen because Wood’s character is expected to be out of touch for an indefinite period.
The above gives Luna space to hold Steffy captive for a few weeks before the Finn and the Forresters would become alarmed. Yet, Steffy left her smartphone at Bill’s mansion.
Bill, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), or someone at the mansion will notice the smartphone. That signals Steffy as being in danger rather than having taken a break from her marriage.
In the meantime, Luna and Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) mentioned that the apartment house was being demolished. That establishes Luna’s likely plan.
She can leave Steffy in the cage at the apartment house with the intention of her being crushed and likely never found. It would be another in her series of craven crimes.
Wood is a main character and Yamada is not. So, Luna, not Steffy, dying would seem infinitely more likely unless Yamada’s character escapes.
