‘1000-Lb Sisters’: Tammy Slaton Praised By Doctor Smith

1000-Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton earned some well-deserved praise from Bariatric Surgeon Eric Smith this week. It came after she shared some positive messages on social media. Additionally, TLC fans were impressed by her inspirational frame of mind. Read on to find out what she said.  

Tammy Slaton Lost 500lbs

TLC fans despaired of Amy Halterman’s sister ever losing weight. In fact, they feared that she would eat herself to death. And, she nearly managed that. However, she woke up after she ended up in hospital again. Then, she went off to rehab and came out as a changed person. Like a flower unfolding in the spring, her sweet personality started to shine through with each pound of flesh that melted off her humongous body. 

Tammy Slaton hopes to become a model for larger-than-average women. However, the TLC star looks so good these days, that she might have to model for those who are not so large. As 1000-Lb Sisters fans know, it was a long and difficult road for her. But finally, she’s on the home run, having lost 500lbs and she’s reaching out to her followers a lot. 

1000-Lb Sisters Star Gets Praise From Doctor Smith

This week, the TLC star took to her Instagram account and posted a reel. In it, she talked about “lifestyle change” and how it would be a waste of time and money if she slid back now. Admitting that she was “huge,” the 1000-Lb Sisters star said that she takes a lot of photos to remind herself of where she came from.  Additionally, she talked about keeping up the fight and how people should “never give up.”

In her caption, Tammy Slaton wrote:

My life has been a rollercoaster, and I’m proud to share that I’ve lost over 500 pounds. Some of you might know me from 1000lb Sisters, but here on my page, it’s all about love, positivity, and celebrating every step of the journey. ✨. This space is for YOU—whether you’re here to find inspiration, share your story, or just soak up some good vibes. We’re all in this together, and I believe in lifting each other up, one day at a time.

In the comments, Doctor Smith praised the 1000-lb Sisters star,  writing, “So proud of you!!!!!! You are changing lives Tammy!”
