1000-Lb Sisters Fans Fear Amy Slaton Has Hidden Health Issues

1000-Lb Sisters star Amy Slaton Halterman lost weight, put some on, and then seemed to lose interest as she struggled to raise her two boys. Gage and Glenn were a handful and she and Michael Halterman divorced as he would not assist her with kids. In the wake of that, fans worry about her mental health. Amy Slaton Struggles With Life

Surprisingly, it seems that Tammy Slaton is the one coping these days. After her incredible weight loss, she seems less angry at life. Meanwhile, in the last season of 1000-Lb Sisters, fans saw that her sister became irritated and dissolved into tears easily. The happy, smiling TLC star seemed to have disappeared. So, some fans suspected that she suffered from very long postpartum depression. 

Amy Slaton went looking for a man after the divorce, but it didn’t seem to make her happy for long. Naturally, when breakups come along, TLC fans fear that a slide back into eating comfort food lies ahead. Or, feelings of being alone and misunderstood might cause more depression. 

1000-Lb Sisters Fans See A Worrying Photo

At the end of July, Amanda Halterman shared some scenes on TikTok of herself with a bunch of family and friends. It’s not clear who took a screenshot of the group, but it landed on Reddit after it appeared on Facebook. In it, Amy and Amanda were with other family and friends. However, a Redditor spotted bruises on Amy’s legs.

In the caption of the post, the TLC fan wondered:

Immediately, speculation arose because of the bruises on Amy Slaton’s legs. Is there a hidden issue that TLC fans don’t know about? Apart from carrying a lot of weight for years, it’s quite possible. Perhaps she is on blood thinners. Some 1000-Lb Sisters fans seem to think it’s possible. Here are some of their thoughts:

• Oh my gosh…those bruises on her legs!!
• Amy seems to bruise easily. I’m just curious if she has a health issue related to that?
• If she is taking a blood thinner, that may be the reason. I went off mine because of excessive bruising.
• Wow, that leg!!
• Amy looks like she fell down the stairs or something lol.
• She may be on some kind of medication that thins her blood. I take a baby aspirin at night for my heart & I bruise easily.
• She might be on blood thinners, my dad has bruises like this all the time.

If Amy Slaton Halterman does have issues with her heart, she could be on medication that thins the blood. Other conditions exist where doctors might also prescribe a drug that causes bruising. Then again, she could just be clumsy.
