Young and the Restless Spoilers: Bryton James Talks About The One Soapy Storyline He Never Wants For Devon

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Devon Hamilton-Winters has had plenty of ups and downs in the land of Genoa City.

From dating two twins to having an affair with his father’s wife, cheating on partners, and so much more, the character has betrayed loved ones and been betrayed; however, there is one storyline his portrayer, Bryton James never wants to dive into.

Bryton recently spoke with Soaps.com and talked about the issues Devon has within Chancellor-Winters. He admitted that he often runs through lines and will jokingly stop and say, “You know, I have a gazillion dollars. In real life, none of these problems would matter to me. Go run the company however you want!’”

He’s not wrong. After all, there are many times the residents of Genoa City over-dramatize situations, right? Still, would he ever want to stoop so low and do something completely rotten, taking the page out of Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) playbook?

James responds by saying he’d “love” to play something where Devon does something evil and out of character.

He goes on to reveal, “As an actor, you’re always looking to play something new, interesting, and different. Certainly, Devon has been, for the most part, the good, stable guy. You wouldn’t expect him to do something awful.”

Still, if Devon crossed a terrible line, it may leave fans wondering if he had an evil twin or look-a-like that has taken over his life.

Regarding a storyline like this, which has been done multiple times over in GC, James states, that he knows a lot of actors who would love to do a twin/doppelganger angle, but he feels that the show (not to mention other soaps) has done a lot of these types of stories in the past, and he’s not overly interested.
