The Young and the Restless spoilers show that the show doesn’t have enough going on right now that they may have to throw Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) through the ringer again for some reason.

As if she hasn’t gone through enough, but it looks like she may be on the verge of another mental health crisis.

We recently discussed that fans noticed something off with Sharon when she freaked out on Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) for talking to her daughter.

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) just sat by wide-eyed as he watched what was happening. Sharon made it clear that Phyllis needed to leave her children alone and later blamed ‘Hurricane’ Phyllis for many issues she and Nick went through over the years.

While many viewers have been asking for Sharon and Nick to get back together as they have great chemistry together and could carry the show on for the next generation, others wonder if they’ll do it in a bizarre way.

For instance, making Sharon believe in her mind that she and Nick are actually together.

That could make Sharon see Phyllis has even more of a problem as Nick and Phyllis have been spending time together, mostly to speak about their daughter Summer Newman (Allison Lanier).

Sharon could become even more aggressive to Phyllis and not realize the difference between reality and make-believe.

We could see something truly strange happening with Sharon, and with Nick caught in the crossfire he could have to bear witness to what she does.

There has always been friction between Sharon and Phyllis, that’s a given, but if Sharon has a mental health episode and goes off on her, where is the line?

Sharon has already been showing signs of wanting a reunion between her and Nick, and she could see Phyllis as an obstacle that is blocking that.

Is her relationship with Nick enough to make Sharon snap and do something terrible to Phyllis? Or is this a tired storyline already and they need to figure something else out, liking making Nick and Sharon happy again?
