There seems to be some sort of dubious history between them, so let’s delve into the possibilities. One theory is that Tom was a victim of Poppy’s scam, where she cunningly swindled him out of his hard-earned money.

However, we shouldn’t dismiss the alternative scenario that Poppy and Tom were actually partners in crime, conning unsuspecting individuals together!

Regardless, things are currently tense between Poppy and Tom, so maybe their partnership turned sour when Poppy kept more than her fair share after a con job and went solo.

Tom may feel like Poppy abandoned their scamming alliance and complain about her cutting him out when she’s got a big fish like “Dollar Bill” Spencer (Don Diamont) on the hook!

Of course, the stakes have been raised now that Poppy has dragged Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) into all this, raising doubts Bill is actually Luna’s bio dad despite the DNA results.

It seems like Poppy was hoping this would be her last scam and she could just live off Bill’s wealth forever, but didn’t count on this part of her past catching up!
