General Hospital Spoilers: Sam Versus Jason – Is She Justified In Her Rage Over His Extreme Lengths To Protect Carly?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers note that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) threw a fit when she finally found out the reason why Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) became an FBI informant during the Thursday, June 20 episode.

Sam heard the audio file about protecting Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) over those RICO charges, and while Damian Spinelli (Brad Anderson) tried to defend Jason, Ms. McCall flew off the handle.

Is Sam justified in her rage? Is there anything redeeming about what Jason did?

GH Spoilers: Jason Abandoned Jake & Danny To Help Carly

GH spoilers suggest that Sam’s main frustration with Jason is that he abandoned both Jake Spencer (Hudson West) and Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) for years to ensure that Carly escaped prison. Plus, the two boys were traumatized (yet again) as they thought their dad was dead.

Sam has to be more than a little bitter when it comes to Carly. She made the life choice to marry a mob boss, and she knew what the repercussions would be if he passed away.

Depriving a child of their father is wrong on all accounts. This situation is a tad similar to when Carly was up on insider trading charges and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) threw himself under the bus so that Carly wouldn’t face a prison sentence, jeopardizing his time with Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) – precious time as Drew had already been separated from her for so long when he was presumed dead.

With that being said, would Jason have agreed to the FBI deal if he knew it would take years to complete this mission? He was under the impression that it would be wrapped up in months, while Carly’s prison term would be 20+ years. If he knew then what he knew now, would he have agreed to this?

Plus, this wasn’t only about Carly, as Jason was thinking of little Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) as she would grow up without a mom. Besides, how can Sam judge, really?

Isn’t she jeopardizing her freedom, not to mention Spinell’s, by looking into the deal Jason has with the FBI, in the first place? The repercussions would be severe if either of them got found out!
