Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Judith Chapman Returns, Leo’s Mama Drama With Diana Cooper

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) has well-documented mommy issues. Leo thinks he is unlovable right now and has sought therapy from Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall).

So, it only makes sense that Judith Chapman is returning to play Leo’s mother, Diana Cooper. Keep reading to find out when Chapman will appear in the Peacock soap opera.

Leo Stark’s Therapy

DOOL spoilers reveal that Leo started seeking therapy from Marlena. It happened right after Leo took a chance to ask a guy out on a date.

That guy turned out to be Dr. Mark Greene (Jonah Robinson). Now, Mark politely turned down Leo and said he was straight. The rejection didn’t make Leo’s self-worth issues any better.

Leo has mainly talked to Marlena about the man who still has his heart, Dimitri von Leushner (last played by Peter Porte). Marlena found it intriguing that Leo still considers Dimitri his true love even though they are no longer together. 

As Marlena dives into Leo’s deep-cored issues, his mother will likely be brought up.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Chapman will return as Diana Cooper on June 25, 2024. Now, this could be just a dream as Leo has been dealing with lots of those. However, it would be nice to see Leo confront his mother.

Diana’s surname was Colville back in the 80s. So, fans might remember Diana from when the part was played by Genie Francis (Laura Collins, General Hospital).

Then, in 2019, Diana returned but this time, the part was being played by Chapman. Fans soon learned that Diana is Matthew Cooper aka Leo’s mother. 

Diana has been in prison. Sometimes, Leo will pay her a visit but that has been off-screen. Clearly, therapy will bring up a lot of issues from Leo’s childhood.

Leo might want answers from his mother or some kind of explanation.  Leo did mention that his mother was a “monster” during their recent jailhouse visits.

When Diana has been on screen with Leo, she is extremely cruel and doesn’t seem to have any kind of bond. Maybe Leo (and fans) will learn the reason for this.

In any case, fans are ready for Leo to be healed and go on the right path. Leo tries, but he still makes the wrong choices.

One example is by blackmailing Sloan Petersen-Brady (Jessica Serfaty) instead of trying harder to tell Nicole Walker-DiMera (Arianne Zucker) the truth about Jude Brady (Oliver McLarty). 

Leo has good intentions and a good heart. So, maybe Leo will finally find a way to move forward in a healthier way.
