Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Cherie Jimenez Talks “New” & “Changed” Gabi DiMera

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers indicate that prison can really change a person, both in real life and in the land of soaps.

As actress Camila Banus exited the role of Gabi DiMera when the woman was sent to prison for the murder of Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) back in November, actress Cherie Jimenez has been recast and will debut on Thursday, June 27.

Days Spoilers: Gabi DiMera Isn’t In “The Clear” Yet

DOOL spoilers imply that while fans get to see Gabi the week of June 24, she will still be behind bars. Jimenez spoke with Soaps.com, warning that her character won’t be in the “clear just yet”, as Thursday’s episode will show her at the prison, interacting with Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash).

The actress states that during her debut scene, Stefan will come for a visit. He’s there to let her know he’s working hard to get her freed.

Of course, Jimenez notes that Gabi will be skeptical of Stefan’s plan; however, her husband will tell her that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) is the one helping him get her out.

The actress states that Gabi will be hopeful around her release, that is, until Stefan mentions EJ’s name. After all, it’s a well-known fact that EJ hates Gabi, and this is something Ms. DiMera is aware of. Still, Stefan will reassure his wife that he’s got his brother cornered.

DOOL Spoilers: Gabi DiMera Will Return A Changed Woman

Jimenez acknowledges the trials and tribulations Gabi has gone through as of late, stating her character is “strong”. She adds it’s “… because she has been in prison before, Gabi is also not one to be messed with.”

The actress goes on to point out during her Soaps.com interview that this recent prison stint has been a tough situation for Gabi, so she’ll come out a “changed person” that will add a new dynamic to storylines.

Not only because she’s a recast coming into the Gabi role, with a new interpretation of the character (while still understanding who the “Gabi” character is all about for fans), but also because her name being cleared will allow Gabi to start a new life, go see her daughter, and be with family and loved ones, including Stefan.
