General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that legacy character Maxie Jones, played by Kirsten Storms, is undeniably a fan favorite. She’s sassy, fierce, courageous, and the ultimate hero as a single mom to three children.

The actress recently appeared on The Daily Drama podcast with hosts, fellow GH co-stars, Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli) and Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) to talk about a difficult time in her life, and how it affected the “Maximista” character.

GH Spoilers: Kirsten Storms’ Brain Surgery In 2021

Storms chatted about her 2021 brain surgery and how the recovery process affected her work. Kirsten notes on the podcast that she didn’t “bounce back” from the surgery, both emotionally and mentally, as quickly as she wanted to.

She goes on to say that she felt like her personal crisis during that time “reflected in Maxie” on the soap.

It was a very challenging time for the actress, and unfortunately, some “so-called” GH fans added to it via criticism online and on social media.

Still, the good news is that as the three-year mark since her surgery approaches, Kirsten has a bright outlook on everything. She states on Daily Drama that she is beginning to feel “more like myself”.

She adds that she is taking better care of herself, and at work, she is dressing in more fashionable outfits. Storms goes on to say that she’s more into making sure her makeup goes with her outfit, and she now has a cool and different hairstyle; all the “old-school” Maxie stuff.

GH Spoilers: Kirsten Storms’ Is Ready To Move On

Kirsten also jokes about moving on, possibly “not fully” remembering Maxie over the past couple years and just jumping from “Spixie to now”; however, she also notes, “But, that is the growth.” She’s not wrong there.

Speaking of Spixie, looks like the super couple is headed for an official reunion and both Storms and Anderson are all in! What kind of adventures awaits them next? Raising three kids is an uphill battle on its own!
