General Hospital Spoilers: What’s With All The Sonny Hate? GH Going Overboard With Everyone Viewing Him As Public Enemy #1?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers note that since new co-head writers, Elizabeth Korte and Patrick Mucahey, there have been key changes within the soap and characters, all across the board.

One major shift has been how Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is being perceived when it comes to friends and peers, and all this has changed even before his medication tampering took place.

It seems as if some have fallen off the #TeamSonny bandwagon, but is it all too much?

GH Spoilers: Sonny Corinthos Has Never Been A Saint & His Friends Know This

GH spoilers note that Sonny has been a mob boss for decades in Port Charles. While he’s done some terrible things as the head of an organization crime ring, he’s also done some good things, too.

During a show this week, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) chatted about their friendships with Sonny, it’s almost like the both of them completely forgot that they became friends with him, knowing he was a mob boss.

It’s almost like they are brushing off how much of a loyal friend he’s been, while also forgetting their own ugly pasts.

The scene felt a lot like when Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) dumped Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) over being Sonny’s henchman, even though she fell in love with him while he was employed with Sonny. It just doesn’t make sense how they are abruptly turning on Sonny when he’s always been this way.

GH Spoilers: The Cyrus Renault Factor

What is weird about this current shift is that much of it centers around the orders Sonny placed on Dex to “off” Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).

Both Anna and Laura have been rubbed the wrong way by it all, but are they forgetting that the reason Cyrus isn’t dead, is because Sonny called the entire thing off and realized the error of his ways? Have they forgotten all the chaos Cyrus has caused to Sonny (and the citizens of Port Charles) in the past?

Dex is another turncoat, with an odd hate-on for Sonny right now. Yes, Sonny was about to execute him before Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) showed up, but let him go even after he learned that Heller was a mole (at one point) that *almost* betrayed him. So why all the hate, all of a sudden?
