General Hospital spoilers reveal Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) has been in and out of the throes of addiction over the years, and her longtime fans have been ride or die seeing her through it.
But it would seem most GH fans are eager to see Alexis stay on the path to success versus falling off the wagon — again. While virtually no one is a stranger to personal stories of addiction in their social circles, few seem to want to hear this story as it pertains to Alexis again.
They might have a bit of fatigue with the storyline, but they’re also rallying for Alexis to finally have a win — a really happily ever after.
With Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) and Molly Lansing Davis (Kristen Vaganos) highlighting the very real risk that the disappointment of not being granted reinstatement to the bar could leave Alexis reaching for the bottle again, it’s anyone’s guess where this is headed.
When Diane broke the news to Alexis that she was already inching closer to making this appeal a reality, things shifted from this being a pipe dream to being a real possibility. Alexis could get her past back, as her future.
She could actually envision the possibility that she may end up partner at law with her best friend — something she never thought she would be able to do again, despite the mandatory waiting period that would soon lift, allowing her to apply for the bar again.
Alexis was hesitant at first to get her hopes up about this venture. She knew it was a long shot, but she had hope, and that’s why she gave Diane the green light. Now, she has faith Diane may actually be able to pull this off.
While she’s not exactly putting all of her eggs in this basket, her heart is already on fire with the idea that she could be a practicing attorney again.
The closer Diane gets to being allowed to appeal the case against Alexis, the more committed Alexis will be toward a positive outcome. If that doesn’t happen, what will happen?
Molly was direct with her mother. She likes Alexis best when she’s sober. Who doesn’t?
Alexis didn’t hold back on sharing this discussion with Diane, who affirmed there is no way to prevent Alexis from taking the possible bad news that she’s done being an attorney — forever — poorly, and falling off the wagon as a result.
Is Molly’s concern just paranoia because she knows how her mom typically handles devastation? Or are we seeing some foreshadowing from both Molly and Diane of things to come? Gosh, we hope not. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this shakes out for Alexis.
