Back in the day, Xander was not only a con, but he was a hitman if the occasion called for it-he worked a lot for Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) as her henchman.

Xander is close to Maggie and has thought of her as a mother even during times he and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) weren’t together.

He doesn’t understand why Sarah isn’t more worried about this con man trying to worm his way into her mother’s heart.

Xander is one of the few people Konstantin seems to be intimidated by and for good reason-he knows that Xander is capable of some real damage. And he can tell Xander can see right through him!

Xander sees danger for Maggie in Konstantin being accepted as her nearly constant companion, and now worried about his visa and staying in Salem.

But how can he convince Maggie that Konstantin isn’t who he pretends to be, and he’s only after her money; what can he do to protect her from herself?

Xander knows that to try and foil Konstantin’s plan he has to come up with a plan of his own-even as he’s trying to get himself exonerated.

At least the charges have been dropped for shooting Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) but he wants his record expunged.

But when it comes right down to it, Xander is much more worried about Maggie and the danger Konstantin the con presents to her than his own reputation.

Xander is determined to find some dirt on Konstantin that he can prove, hoping Maggie will believe him; but it may take some digging in Greece. Right now Xander can’t get away for an overseas trip, but he will do what he can from Salem!
