Days of Our Lives spoilers and rumors tease Everett Lynch (Blake Berris) aka Bobby Stein will have a horrible toddler flashback.

A traumatic memory of seeing his drunken dad abuse and kill his mom and then kill himself could be the answer to his traumatized psyche!

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: A Traumatized Toddler, Foster Care Situations?

Everett has never said much about his parents except he was orphaned when he was very young-yet, he never talked about being adopted either.

That might mean he endured foster care situations as well, which aren’t always optimal for kids, he once said he remembered his dad drank and was mean.

However, he never gave any details that would point to any certain situations that he could really explain, the memories, if any, were very vague.

He’ll be hypnotized by Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) to bring his memory back-but he’s been dreading remembering and can’t put his finger on the reason.

It’s like he knew there was something horrible lurking in the deep depths of his mind and he preferred to leave it there!

DOOL Spoilers: A Stronger Alter Protects The Weaker One

If indeed, Everett does suffer from DID, or dissociative identity disorder, it is likely because of a trauma, in his case, when he was very young.

That is usually a case when a stronger alternate personality, or alter, protects the weaker one-probably Everett’s the weaker and Bobby’s the stronger. Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) late wife Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) also dealt with DID-but she developed it as an adult, that can happen too.

One personality won’t remember what the other one did, but yet all in the same person; but it is always due to some type of trauma that splits a fragile psyche.

Everett’s precipitating traumatic memory may not be remembered by him consciously, he could push it back down as a defense mechanism.

Of course, Everett is being given a big benefit of the doubt here, although with going under hypnosis successfully he cannot just lie.

If he fakes going into the hypnotic state and he’s that good at faking, that might be a different story! A more horrible tale could not be told, and as Marlena brings up the troubling memories, even she is shocked-and hurt in her heart.

Everett regresses into a terrified toddler whose parents die as a murder-suicide-his father killing his mother and then killing himself in front of him. No wonder he was afraid to remember and his personality split!
