Young and the Restless Star Mark Grossman, Who Plays Adam Newman, Shares Devastating Loss

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate that Adam Newman may have a hard time sharing his feelings; however, his portrayer, actor Mark Grossman, is a completely different person from the complex character he plays on daytime screens.

Y&R Star Mark Grossman Shares Devastating Loss

Grossman recently hopped on Instagram to honor his long-time friend, Colin Morrison, who recently passed away. The two shared a love of dirt biking and had been buddies since grade school.

In the IG post, Mark notes that some of his “greatest memories” were with Colin, whether that was “running around Cave Creek and Scottsdale” or “cramming three dirt bikes in the back of your truck to go race in Texas and Oklahoma”.

Grossman adds that the two shared “countless hours of riding and laughing, and so much more.”

The actor continued by saying that despite all the years that passed, and living in different states, Colin was “always there”. He talks about “planning get-togethers, checking in on birthdays, or just to say ‘hi’ and talk about life and our love of motorcycles.”

Mark states that Colin was “always a great friend. No matter how much time had passed since we talked, we always picked right back up where we left off.”

Mark ends the post with, “We just spoke about you coming to California for us to ride together for old times’ sake,” Grossman emotionally shares. “Well, I’ll see you again someday, my brother, and we’ll go on that ride. Rest in peace, Colin. #822forever.”

The photos on the post included various pictures of Colin: one with a dog, as well as him dirt biking, with “822” on the back of his jacket, which explains Mark’s “#822forever” reference.

Y&R Stars Add Their Support

Of course, Mark’s Y&R co-stars rallied behind his Instagram post paying tribute to his late friend. Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott), Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson), Christian LeBlanc (Michael Baldwin), and Lauralee Bell (Christine Blair), were among Grossman’s colleagues who all offered their support with endearing comments.
