Young and the Restless Spoilers: Eileen Davidson Talks Ashley’s DID Storyline & Breaks Down The “Personalities” She’s Playing

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that actress Eileen Davidson has been doing an incredible job with Ashley Abbott’s recent storyline, as the character struggles with her dissociative identity disorder (DID) condition.

Ms. Davidson recently opened up during a TV Guide interview to talk more about Ashley, and the differing personalities that are coming out.

Y&R Spoilers: Eileen Davidson Confirms Ashley Has Three Distinct Personalities

Eileen tells TV Guide that she’s loving this new arc, and “having a great time”. While Ashley’s no stranger to mental health issues, Ms. Davidson renewed portrayal of her character’s struggles is simply an incredible watch.

In addition to Ashley’s mental health history, Eileen also has past experience playing multiple roles at one time, when she did so during her run with Days of Our Lives (DOOL).

Eileen confirms to TV Guide that there are three distinct personalities that are surfacing within Ashley, and how the differences between them were subtle at first but are growing bolder as time wears on.

Davidson reveals during her interview that playing this storyline takes a lot of concentration, and makes her head hurt at times because she may initially be playing Ashley, only for another personality to pop up mid-scene.

Y&R Spoilers: Ms. Abbott, Ash, & “#3”

Ms. Davidson goes on to outline that “Ash” is a personality that is like a young girl or teenager, while “Ms. Abbott” is assertive type, the one who’s gotten quite aggressive with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) when it comes to “winning” him back.

There’s also a third alter ego; however, this one hasn’t been named yet. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of drama Ash’s third personality brings.

Eileen notes that an intervention is on the horizon, where “Ms. Abbott” will feel backed into a corner, and she may ultimately lash out at Ashley’s siblings.
