Young and the Restless Spoilers: Abby And Phyllis From Foes To Friends, Then Scheming Buddies

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) were once bitter rivals back in the day, as the two fought for controlling interest in the Grand Pheonix. While the hotel is a thing of the past, and many years have gone by, the two ladies have rarely landed on the same page.

That is, until recently. Could the once-former rivals become best buds?

Y&R Spoilers: Abby Newman-Abbott Stepped Up For Phyllis Summers

Y&R spoilers note that during the Wednesday, March 6 episode, Phyllis was on cloud nine, setting up her dinner date at Society with Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian). Abby reluctantly agreed to the private party of two, and then watched on as the Rockstar, with Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) in tow, stormed in and basically tore Red’s heart to shreds. Danny declined the evening together, even though he promised, and Phyllis jumped through hoops to organize it. All because Christine put her foot down.

While Abby could’ve poured salt into Phyllis’s wound, she chose to listen to her and offer compassion.

Y&R Spoilers: Phyllis Could Use Some Friends

One interesting thing that Danny mentioned to Phyllis as he rejected her romantic intentions was that she didn’t have many friends in town, which is why she gravitated toward him. That’s true, to a certain extent, as Phyllis does call Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc), Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman), and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) friends; however, was this line foreshadowing a possible friendship that may form between Abby and Phyllis? Could the blond either stop Phyllis from her revenge plan on Christine or potentially help her? Cricket isn’t a bad person, but she’s shown some ugly colors in this love triangle. Would Abby be willing to help Phyllis scheme against The Bug? Stranger things have happened in Genoa City!

Then again, there is the Amanda factor, as Red is very close to Ms. Sinclair, and the lawyer has bad blood with Abby because of Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James). Could a friendship with Abby cause friction between her and Amanda?
