Sharon desperately needs a new storyline after seemingly being sidelined since her Sharon-centric episode months back.

Supposedly, the powers that be have already set things up for a big romance, but nothing’s happened yet-except she decided she didn’t want Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd).

She’d been non-seriously dating her late husband, Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) partner for quite some time but she just didn’t move forward with Chance in the romance department.

She’d had a weird dream before the launch party of her company that caused her to think about her life so far and what she wanted it to be going forward.

As a result of that, she made some serious changes, but part of that dream involved Nick-who was involved with someone else at that time.

Sharon and Nick have always been there for each other, even when they were married to or involved with other people. And Nick may be forced to be honest with himself as to who he really wants to be involved with for the rest of his life.

Every time he’s gotten involved with Phyllis, he’s wound up being dumped for someone else-with Phyllis it seems like a man, any man will do and she changes partners frequently.

This time she tried hard to go after Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) but failed, and went right to Nick trying to get him back.

She’ll even kiss him and try to seduce him, like she did Danny but Nick will just say no!

Nick doesn’t want another fling, and by now he knows that’s all Phyllis is good for-but he might realize what he’s been missing, or maybe who he’s been missing.

His time with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) was problematic and painful, and most certainly based on lust alone, and now she’s back with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

Perhaps he’ll stage a romantic ambush of his own, but this time with his first love Sharon-perhaps he’ll try to recreate one of their first dates.

Their breakups were his fault each time, and caused by his falling into Phyllis’ spider web-but now he knows better. Sharon’s still there for him no matter what and he’s there for her too-maybe now is the time to mend that relationship.
