The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) alum Jacob Young talked about his possible return to the daytime soap. He played the role of Rick Forrester, which many fans feel is still needed on the show. Rick’s storyline ended with his blossoming relationship with trans model Karla Mosley.

The Bold And Beautiful: Jacob Young Talks Possible Return

In a new interview with Soap Opera Digest, Jacob Young talked about his new movie, Four for Fun, alongside Brytni Sarpy from The Young and the Restless. He also talked about a possible return to The Bold and the Beautiful. Young admitted that he’s done with the soap genre.

“I’ve done over 2,000 episodes of soaps since the age of 17,” Young told the outlet. “And I’m pretty worn out from that.”

The actor didn’t just appear on B&B. He’s best known for his role as JR Chandler on ABC’s All My Children. Young also played Lucky Spencer on General Hospital. Over the years, he played a wide variety of characters on both the big and small screen. He likes having the opportunity to create dreams for other actors.

“By giving up that [regular work], I found that I was able to create all the passions and create other dreams for people at the same time,” Young explained. “And that means more to me than anything, than being in front of the camera.”

Jacob Young is setting his sights higher. He’s directing a new film starring Joan Collins titled Murder Between Friends. Young has been working on projects with his fellow soap stars. His latest project stars Brytni Sarpy, who plays Elena.

He also worked with fellow AMC alum Trent Garrett (Asher) on a new company called Next Generation Storytellers. This allows high schoolers to learn what it takes to make a golden film. Young has so many projects that it’s keeping him busy. He wouldn’t have the time to film a daytime soap.

“I’m glad I’m being able to live out my dreams and still be here for my wife and my kids,” Young added. “I’ve been very lucky in my life, and I count my blessings every day.”
