Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease John Black (Drake Hogestyn) is keeping secrets from Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and she can tell. Marlena is extremely concerned something’s going on with her husband, but what?

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Is John Black In Trouble?

Marlena had previously been concerned enough about John’s strange behavior of late that she asked Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) to keep an eye on him.

It turned out that the problem was Konstantin Meleounis (John Kapelos) and he’s more dangerous than Steve and John originally thought-he knows about The Pawn!

But John doesn’t want Marlena involved in this, and hides details of his latest meeting from her-Konstantin hypnotized him using the Pagoda tarot card to hold a gun to his head.

But he doesn’t remember that part and tells the rest he does remember to Steve later, but nothing at all to Marlena. Now she worries that something’s going on with his brain-a few years back he had problems after having severe headaches, nearly strangling Jan Spears (Heather Lindell).

DOOL Spoilers: John Black Not Himself

Marlena is particularly troubled seeing that John is not himself after he comes home-he makes excuses about going for walks because he can’t sleep.

He looks disheveled and isn’t taking care of himself properly, it reminds her of when he first came to town and was thought to be Roman Brady (Josh Taylor).

He literally wandered all over town and didn’t know who he was-but she has never been told about his having been The Pawn, Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) assassin.

Steve and John kept that secret mainly for John’s own safety and protection-then there was years of John’s trying to find his true identity. John’s seemingly unkempt appearance of late and his secrecy really has Marlena worried-is he reverting to who he was when he didn’t know who he was?

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Why Won’t He Open Up?

Marlena tries to get John to open up to her but he won’t-he’s acting very secretive; if it were Black Patch business he’d have said so. For that matter, Steve would have told her if they were on some kind of a spy op or doing something for the ISA.

The more secretive John becomes, and the stranger he acts, the more worried Marlena becomes; she’s not sure how to help him when he doesn’t think he needs or wants it.

There is something strange going on with John, and Marlena is determined to get to the bottom of it and quickly. But until she can, how will she handle this-she can’t hardly chain him to the bed!
