When he confronted Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash), the two had a heated exchange, leaving Xand more confused than ever.

She left the world of organized crime years ago, and after finally being released from Bayview, she was looking for a fresh start in life. She helped make one of her wrongs a “right”, by rescuing Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) and then started a nice romance with Harris Michaels (Steve Burton).

Sadly, Clyde Weston (James Read) came along and blew all her decent plans out of the water. Ava feels trapped right now and is looking for an escape.

She’s not only dealing with heat from the police, but her son Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) also has a sneaking suspicion something is going on.

Could she have decided to call upon an old friend?

DOOL spoilers remind fans that Ava and Xander have a history. After all, she recruited him to help her kidnap Susan Banks to gain revenge on EJ, in the first.

Ava knows that if she were to approach Xander, he’d flatly deny her request. Plus, she has to keep her ties to Clyde and the drug ring, hush-hush because of how the police are in hot pursuit of her.

Perhaps that’s the reason behind the weird voice and odd phone call. If Xander eliminates Clyde, this would erase a lot of issues Ava is having right now.
