Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease as Konstantin Meleounis (John Kapelos) ramps up his end game against John Black (Drake Hogestyn) Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) makes a realization.

Konstantin is much more dangerous than he originally realized-and the man Steve regarded merely as a nuisance is a real threat against his friend.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Greater And Riskier Lengths

Steve is quickly realizing he may have to go to greater and riskier lengths to protect John from Konstantin-after John opens up about a meeting they had.

John tells Steve Konstantin had wanted to meet with him about Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) pawn, and that Konstantin told him he had the eyes of a killer.

He’s also disconcerted about a name Konstantin mentions, “Catharina” although he doesn’t tell Steve Konstantin turned him into the Pawn temporarily.

John was confused after snapping out of the trance Konstantin put him into with the pagoda tarot card, not remembering the details, and this troubles Steve greatly.

Konstantin had told John a story from the past and commanded John to shoot himself in the head, then stopped him when he started to comply.

DOOL Spoilers: John Black Covered To Marlena But Begs Steve Johnson For Help Remembering

John covered to Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) about what had happened in the meeting with Konstantin, but he’s disconcerted enough to ask Steve for help remembering.

John is concerned that his past may not truly be in the past, and wants Steve to fill him in on anything he knows about Meleounis-but Steve deflects.

He knows the last thing John needs is to think he and The Pawn are the same person, and says Konstantin must know how to get to John.

Steve remains cryptic with John about his past as The Pawn in an effort to protect him; he doesn’t know how much John remembers about their time in Greece. Steve knows that if John were to remember specific events, it would be devastating for him.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Walking A Fine Line

Steve knows he’s walking a fine line dodging so many of John’s questions, and it could backfire. The whole situation is weighing heavily on him, worrying that keeping so many secrets from John could ruin their friendship. But yet, Steve knows that the alternative would be much worse-worse for John.

All Steve tells John is they have to get rid of Konstantin, that way no one will have to ever know the hidden secrets about John’s life as The Pawn. They just have to come up with a way to run Konstantin off for good!
