Young And The Restless Spoilers: Diane Abbott Purposely Sabotages Nikki Newman’s Sobriety

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that the proverbial poop is about to hit the fan now that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has officially agreed to be Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) AA sponsor.

While Diane Abbott (Susan Walters) is aware of their arrangement, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is not. What kind of drama can occur with Jack’s scheming wife in the know?

Y&R Spoilers: Diane Abbott Is Pretending To Be “Okay” With Things

Y&R spoilers note that Jack did ask Diane if she was okay with him becoming Nikki’s sponsor. He explained the situation Ms. Newman was in, all she’d overcome, and the reason her sobriety was compromised.

Unlike Nikki, Jack has been completely transparent with Diane about this, and his wife did give her stamp of approval for him to proceed.

Jack trusts Diane. He believes the best in her. While she has changed since her return to Genoa City in 2022, fans can tell she hasn’t entirely turned a new leaf, and it does slightly bother her that he’s helping Nikki; someone who’s always been a rival to her and still is.

Y&R Spoilers: Diane Abbott Still Has Some Tendencies

When Diane first came to town, Nikki, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) worked overtime to prove to Jack that she wasn’t a changed woman.

They all failed miserably; however, since Diane married him, some small hints of her former personality have come out.

Encouraging Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) to lie about his alliance with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) is one major thing, and her secret disapproval of him helping Nikki is another.

Could Diane get jealous over the bond Jack and Nikki forge during this time? Could she want to do something to nip it in the bud? Could she set up a scheme where she sabotages Nikki’s sobriety?

If Nikki falls off the wagon under Jack’s eye, he may believe she needs more help than he can offer. Then again, as Diane knows that Victor isn’t aware that Jack is Nikki’s AA sponsor, could she “accidentally” spill the beans to the Moustache?
