Young And The Restless Spoilers: Adam And Claire’s Common Ground, Niece Relates To Uncle More Than Any Other Newman?

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) have more in common than they think.

While Adam was raised with a stable parent, versus Claire’s traumatic upbringing with Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk), both know how it feels to try and connect to a biological parent as an adult, and be an “outcast” in their own family.

Claire will eventually spring out of the facility soon, and when she comes to town, will she (and Adam) form a nice niece/uncle bond?

Y&R Spoilers: Adam Seems Skeptical About Claire

During a recent show, Adam questioned Claire’s intentions while the entire family was gathered in Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) office. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) immediately came to her daughter’s defense, as did Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).

The Moustache somewhat stayed out of it, but Adam seemed concerned about what his family went through, although a bit of it was likely to get under Vicky’s skin, too.

Whether it’s a romance, friendship, or family bonds, in the land of daytime drama the recipe for character relationships tends to be friction at first, and then closeness. Adam isn’t as approachable as Nick, who will likely be someone who tries to make Claire’s transition into the family an easy one. Still, Adam may be the one she relates to the best, as time wears on.

Y&R Spoilers: The Victor Newman Factor

Nikki went to visit Claire at the facility, so it looks like she’s trying to make an effort, even if it is just for Vicky’s sake. Nick will also do his best to help Claire transition into the Newman family, but one person who will be hard to win over is the Moustache.

He did recently promise that he would try, but Victor has been known to break a promise or two. The one thing that could bond Claire and Adam is the hurdle of trying to gain Victor’s approval; something Adam has been working on for years.

This bond between Claire and Adam may agitate Vicky, and it’ll be a slippery slope. She won’t want to discourage Claire from getting to know family members, and she may worry that telling her to stay away from her uncle or trying to “control” what she does could hinder Claire’s progress, but it’ll frustrate Vic, for sure.
