According to the General Hospital spoilers, Jason Morgan is returning to the daytime soap. The fan-favorite left the show in 2021 due to the vaccine mandate. Burton previously admitted that he had no interest in returning. Now, he’s returning to the soap just two years after his abrupt exit.

According to TVLine, Burton will reprise his role as Jason Morgan. Burton was fired from GH in 2021 when he disagreed with ABC about the COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

Burton argued refused to get the vaccination due to religious reasons. As a result, his character was presumed dead from a tunnel collapse.

The General Hospital spoilers reveal that Steve Burton’s return was announced during the anniversary special titled 60 Years of Stars and Storytelling, on Thursday, January 4.

The actor walked out dressed as Jason Morgan. He wore a black leather jacket with a black T-shirt and matching jeans. He stood next to his fellow co-stars Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos) and Kelly Monaco (Sam McCall).

Burton teased: “Stay tuned. Big things are coming to Port Charles.” Most GH fans are excited about his return to the show. Burton previously announced his departure from Days of Our Lives just days prior. He announced on YouTube and teased fans to “stay tuned.”

General Hospital Spoilers: Jason In, Dex Out?

According to the General Hospital spoilers, Jason Morgan’s return could lead to Dex’s departure. A fan came up with a possible idea. The user LDodson asked on the SoapCentral.com Message Boards: “Dex agreed to keep working for Sonny to make sure the family is protected. But with Jason back, is Dex needed?”

GH fans took to the thread to share their thoughts. One fan mused: “The only way I see Dex leaving the organization is if Jason resumes his position with Sonny.” Another user wrote: “Right now, Dex is Sonny’s driver and kinda confident. So yes, this would be an opening for Dex to leave or stay.”

Some fans would like to see both men remain on the show. They would rather see Jason leave the mob and regain his Quartermaine memories. Other fans wonder if it’s possible to make Dex become Jason’s son. The General Hospital spoilers that Dex’s story isn’t done yet, but the writer’s strike delayed it.
