General Hospital Spoilers: Are Drew And Carly On Their Way Out To Make Room For Jason’s Return?

General Hospital spoilers suggest Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) have been madly in puppy love for the better part of the last year — and now, that run of romance is going to come to an abrupt end.

Not everyone is unhappy about the idea that these two will no longer be a couple though. Drew and Carly got off to a rather unbecoming start, with much of the fan base lamenting over their lack of chemistry and cheesy approach to romance.

They just didn’t buy that Carly was really into this super kind guy with no edge either. Well, Drew seems to be developing an edge, but instead of embracing it, rumor has it Carly is going to find it rather unappealing.

Is this the only kosher way to reopen the door to Carly and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) without making her look bad for leaving Drew in the dust?

General Hospital Spoilers — Carly Likes Kind and Generous Drew

When Carly opened up to Drew about his recent change in behavior, he listened to every word, but he wasn’t exactly receptive. He didn’t tell her she was right, although he admitted that he had changed.

His stint in Pentonville gave him plenty of time to think things over and realize his well-intentioned nature hasn’t resulted in many wins for him, personally.

He’s ready to take a different approach in both his personal and professional life. Carly wasn’t thrilled to hear how excited Drew was to shift gears in this way. She likes the cool, calm, collected, and kind Drew Cain.

GH Spoilers Say Carly Loves Bad Boy Jason

Now that we know Jason is set to come home soon, it stands to reason that both Carly and Drew will be asking some tough questions. She might be asking herself if her feelings for Jason have resolved after she realizes how she feels when she’s with him.

Likewise, Drew might be questioning how she feels about his twin brother, too. This could leave some less than comfortable tension between brothers, but Carly won’t want to come between them.

That doesn’t mean that isn’t where she’ll end up. Will she have to face the music that she just can’t help falling in love with Jason?

General Hospital Spoilers — Drew May Not Take This Lying Down

It makes sense that Drew’s sudden erratic behavior could be the preceding factor that makes it easier for Carly to let go of him — or even hurt him.

Right now, she may not be able to fathom herself doing so, but the more time she spends away from Drew in Amsterdam — on the heels of his trip to Australia that quickly followed his release from Pentonville — the more she will realize they’re not as bound to one another as they once were.

While it seems that distance only made her heart grow fonder of Jason, she won’t experience the same effect with Drew. Will the new and not-so-improved Drew take issue with that?
