On top of it all, it’s unclear exactly when the blaze will occur. It seems there’s a good chance that this will happen early on in 2024; however, there are many unknowns.

The Horton tree trimming event holds so much history and has been done for decades now. It’s something fans look forward to every Christmas Eve.

As the family decorates their tree with ornaments that hold the names of current and past Hortons, including members formally inducted into the family by marriage or a special connection; viewers feel a part of this iconic Salem holiday tradition. It holds so much nostalgia.

There’s nothing the soap loves more than a tragedy striking around the holidays, only for a Christmas miracle to occur. House fire or not, the Hortons will find a way to trim the tree and not break this family custom.

Still, something like this would keep fans glued to the screen. It could be a multi-episode storyline where the house is set ablaze days before Christmas Eve, only for Chad (or possibly someone else) to run in and save the ornaments.

Of course, Christmas, and the tree trimming party, will have to take place else; however, the Horton family has relatives and friends all over the little town who would gladly step in to help them out.
