Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease Nicole DiMera (Arianne Zucker) will refuse the baby bait-and-switch Dr. Pierce (Steve Mize) tries with a deceased baby.
After Nicole demands to see her son, he’ll be put on the spot when she wants DNA done to confirm his substitute is hers!
More than likely, Pierce decided ahead of time a backup plan should Nicole and EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel) want to see their “dead” baby, and found one in the hospital morgue.
Since he’s such a shady doctor, he may even have been able to procure an aborted baby boy the right gestational age and size.
But while EJ never saw baby boy DiMera (uncast) Nicole did, and had several minutes holding him while Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) and Dimitri Von Leuschner (Peter Porte) decided next steps.
They decided to separate mother and newly born child since Nicole went into labor after their unplanned car crash. They were afraid to move Nicole and Dimitri intended to take the baby to the hospital to be checked out since he was premature.
Nicole may not have had much time with her baby but she likely committed to memory everything about him, how he looked, how he cooed, how he felt in her arms.
After all, this baby was Nicole’s first baby that wasn’t miscarried or died after birth, except Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) who Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) carried as a surrogate.
His little face, even though newborns mostly do look similar, would be etched into her memory and when Pierce brings the substitute she’ll know it’s not him.
There could have even been a birthmark that she noticed but didn’t mention, since she was rather out of it after the roadside birth. She was still in somewhat of a confusion even after Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) got there and he had to help her jog her memory.
Besides, this isn’t Nicole’s first baby swap rodeo, except the last one she was involved in personally was one she instigated-Sami Brady’s (Alison Sweeney) baby Sydney DiMera (Evelyn Stephenson).
On December 1, DOOL spoilers say a DNA test will cause a conflict, and that might be Nicole demanding a DNA test be done on the deceased newborn.
That could cause Pierce to lash out at Sloan Petersen-Brady (Jessica Serfaty) and Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) for getting him into this mess!
Sloan and Melinda may have to pay the sleazy doctor lots of extra money to keep this ruse going-perhaps enough to skip town. Needless to say, what Sloan and Melinda thought was a simple plan will grow more complicated by the minute!
