The Young And The Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Should Victor Take A Backseat To Nick And Adam?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) fans wonder whether Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) should take a backseat to his sons Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

He’s still at the forefront of the family company and many of the storylines on the show. However, some fans think it’s time for his story to be pushed to the backburner. Keep on reading to learn more.

The Young And The Restless – Victor Newman Should Take Backseat

The Young and the Restless fans think Victor should take a backseat and let his kids shine on their own. The user Sara_In_BC posted on the SoapCentral.com Message Boards: “Victor needs to be backburned. I’m sorry but his presence in the SNA storyline is not needed. It’s time for him to get out of his children’s lives. He’s ruining their characters. They all look weak and dependent.”

The user argued that Victor should allow his children to thrive on their own. However, they act like they need their father to make it happen. He doesn’t butt out of their lives — especially when it comes to personal and business. Fans took to the thread to react to this idea.

“How much control does Victor still need? It’s so like the same scenes he has with Adam for the last 4 years. Can he take Nikki on a long vacation?” one fan asked.

“Victor has been sitting in that chair for days,” another fan joked.

“This has to be the most idiotic storyline written for Victor. It makes him look like a fool. He supposedly is doing all of this to bring about family harmony.”

“He has to be insane if he thought having Nick and Adam working together was going to bring about harmony,” a third noted.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Should Adam Newman & Victor Newman Take A Backseat?

Some Young and the Restless fans feel that both Adam and Victor should take a backseat to everyone else. They have been at the center of the drama for a long time.

Others also think that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) should be pushed to the back burner.

The user DOOLWill posted on the SoapCentral.com Message Boards: “Would you be okay if Victoria, Victor, and Adam are put on the back burner for a while? Regardless of what the story is, I feel like JG puts Adam, Victoria, and Victor in the middle of it, even when the stories are about the Abbotts.”

Fans believe the writer Josh Griffith has his favorite characters, which is why they’re always part of the main storylines.

They would like to see some of the others thrive for once. What are your thoughts? Do you think Victor should be pushed to the backseat? Sound off below in the comment section.
