The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) hired IT wiz Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) to work for his new company. She had a hidden agenda however, as Red usually does. She wanted to find dirt on Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John).

Tucker was blackmailing her but now the tables are turned and she is blackmailing him. In the background, Adam is the unexpected beneficiary of this intelligence.

Adam initially denied Phyllis’ snooping but he’s as shady as she is so in the end he caved. He found out that Tucker was on the hook for a harassment coverup when he still owned McCall Unlimited. Tucker paid off the employees who knew about the mess and lips were sealed—until now.

Red took this dish straight to Tucker and used it to undo his leverage over her. She let him know that he better make available EMT Carson (Walter Belenky) or she exposes his illegal activity. Carson’s testimony is crucial to keeping her out of jail. Having the murder charge against her dropped is her first priority; after that we’ll have to see if Phyllis goes after Tucker for his shenanigans.

At the edge of this scenario is Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) who helped Tucker with his past cover-up. She was also his mistress and there is not a man in Genoa City, Wisconsin that is beneath her.

She told her boss Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) that she lusted after him and now she’s involved with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). But Kyle’s forever love is Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier), his estranged wife who he kicked out of the Abbott mansion.

Could Adam be Audra’s next target? He’s all by his lonesome and he gets at his most down and dirty best when he has a gorgeous partner in crime to scheme with, like Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). If the writing is on the wall, Adam and Audra could be the next hot hookup in a summer full of them.

There have been several scenes between Audra and Adam, most of them fiery as they trade insults and barbs—what better way to get a relationship off the ground? It looks like the show is chem-testing these two firebrands and they definitely have what it takes to tango. Both are ruthless, attractive, ambitious, and unscrupulous.
