General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease that nosy Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) might spill the tea to Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) about Gregory Chase’s (Gregory Harrison) symptoms. She already overstepped by calling Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and asking her if there was something wrong with his health!
Gregory has been keeping his diagnosis of ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease secret, and he wants to keep it that way. Alexis is the only one who knows and that’s only because she wouldn’t let it go and overstepped herself, even calling Port Charles University to find out he’d resigned. He finally told her out of frustration but swore her to secrecy-he especially doesn’t want his sons knowing about it.
Gregory has been so adamant about his sons not finding out he’s ill that once he left an examining room at GH after finding out Finn was working. Another time he made a hasty exit when Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) saw him at GH and asked why he was there.
You have to give it to Tracy that she did show genuine concern, but perhaps she should not have called Alexis-that was a bit of an overreach. She considers herself close to his older son Finn, however, and she might wonder if he knows about his father’s symptoms. Greg no doubt will have a discussion with Tracy about her call to Alexis and tell her to stay out of his health business, even though that seemed more serious. Greg passed it off as carpal tunnel from so many years of writing things by hand, but that doesn’t make you pause and have difficulty moving forward. But Tracy being Tracy, and knowing Finn is an expert in rare diseases, will find it difficult not to tell him what she saw in his father.
After Tracy gets up with Finn and tells him what she saw, his concerns are raised, because just a few months earlier Alexis was worried about him thinking he was drunk. Tracy doesn’t presuppose what might be wrong with Gregory like Alexis did, she simply describes what she saw and wants to know if he’s aware. Finn is certainly concerned because it sounds like neurological symptoms.
Finn knows that his father has had a bout with Lyme Disease but it’s been several years since he had trouble with it. Finn will closely observe his father when they’re together to see if these symptoms occur and if they do, he’ll start asking questions.
