Recently, Carly wasn’t sure what to think when she dropped in on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to find Ava and him in a tense conversation and sent Avery home with Carly!

General Hospital Spoilers – Josslyn Jacks Suspicious Of Betty Rutherford

Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) encountered Avery with her new nanny, Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini) at the Metro Court Pool, and was very uncomfortable with her vibe. Later she found out Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) was tailing her at Sonny’s request and no doubt, she brought the news of the new nanny to Carly. Josslyn was puzzled and Carly as well when they found out a nanny they’d trusted for years, Pilar Rodriguez (Brenda Barbarena) had been fired.

Now, with Sonny sending Avery home with Carly for a sleepover with Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Brielle) on short notice, Carly gets to thinking. The last time Ava let Avery stay with Carly on any regular basis was because of danger-could Avery be in danger again?

General Hospital Updates – What Kind Of Danger, Mob Danger, Or What?

Carly is oh so familiar with her children having been unsafe when Sonny’s territory was being challenged and she knows about Sonny having possibly been a target recently. But since Avery mainly is with Ava at her place, the danger being from a new mob moving in doesn’t make sense. Carly may be truly concerned about Avery since she and Donna are so close, but when she questions Ava if she’s in danger she seems more nosy. She understood when Avery came to live with her when Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) was thought to be a threat-when Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) first came to town. That turned out to be Esmé and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) gaslighting Ava; this is definitely different.

No Way Will Ava Jerome Tell Carly Spencer The Truth

There’s no way Ava will tell Carly the truth, that she’s being blackmailed over killing Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) – she thinks – and Betty is part of that blackmail. All she will say is Sonny thought it best for Avery to go home with Carly that night, but yes, she doesn’t trust Betty either and neither does Sonny. But Avery and Donna are so close Ava has no problem with Avery staying over with her frequently.

Ava knows things are different than when Sonny and Carly were married, and she can’t lay claim to her daughter as a stepmother. That’s one thing neither Sonny nor Ava would stand for again!
