The Young And The Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Jack Asks Kyle To Resign, He’s Suspicious It’s A Cover For Keeping Him And Summer Together?

The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will ask Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) to resign from Marchetti. But Kyle will be suspicious that his father’s actions will be a cover for keeping him and Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) together.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Changes Need To Be Made

Jack calls Kyle into his office and tells him that changes need to be made at Marchetti, because of his and Summer’s separation. Kyle is shocked when he gives the reason that it’s because Marchetti is all Summer has to hold on to, and it doesn’t sit well with Kyle. But he does get where his father is coming from, in spite of his anger that Jack is putting Summer ahead of him.

That is not the only issue, however, with Kyle and Summer having run Marchetti together, their separation would put the employees in an awkward situation should they both stay. Unfortunately, this separation is a very public thing and no one wants to choose sides between their bosses.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Kyle Abbott Feels Attacked From All Sides

Kyle feels attacked from all sides since it is his father pressuring him to resign and his first inclination is not to cave to his father’s wishes. But considering the burden put on the Marchetti employees if he stays, he ultimately considers doing the right thing and stepping down, he wouldn’t want them to take sides. Kyle does feel alone since he feels Summer abandoned him in favor of protecting her mother even though the reveal of Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) survival set his mother free. Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) had been accused of Phyllis’ murder and now there is no victim so her charges were canceled.

Kyle Abbott Can’t Work At Jabot

Kyle learns since Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is CEO of Jabot that if he quits Marchetti, he won’t have a job because he can’t work at Jabot. So if Kyle doesn’t want to be unemployed, he has no choice but to remain at Marchetti. Kyle then starts to wonder if the whole resignation thing his father is pushing him towards is just to keep him and Summer together.

After all, does Jack really want his son to be without a job-wouldn’t he know that Kyle couldn’t go to work for Jabot? The forced resignation being a cover to facilitate a reconciliation between him and Summer is the only thing that makes sense!
