Nina comes to realize just how much danger her fiancé is, and on a daily basis, she may tack that on to herself. Realizing that a relationship with Sonny comes with the risk of being in the line of fire, it may not even be a lifestyle she wants for her daughter, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) — not that she gets a say in that. However, Nina’s anxiety is going to reach an all-time high, and it won’t be Sonny who calms her down.
Learning that her close friend was shot was bad enough, and in the days following Curtis’ life hangs in the balance, Nina will be distraught. But when she eventually finds out it was an attempt on Sonny’s life gone wrong, once again, Nina will struggle with feelings she hasn’t felt before. Is this really what she wants for the rest of her life? Dodging bullets and fearing for the lives of her loved ones just because they know Sonny? Nina might start rethinking her plans to marry a world-renowned mobster.
Meanwhile, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) will still believe he is Eddie Maine. Nina never imagined herself with a rockstar before, much less one who isn’t in his right mind. That being said, she can’t really judge, given that Sonny was hardly in his right mind when she met him either.
Maybe Nina has a type after all. Eddie is going to feel like a safe distraction from the chaos swirling around her as she prays that her friend pulls through from his gunshot wound. He will definitely be a distraction, for the definition of safe used here is rather loose. She may not get shot while cozying up to Eddie, but that doesn’t mean her relationship with Sonny will withstand her blossoming friendship with the disoriented Quartermaine.
While Nina is busy keeping Eddie company, Sonny may be drawn away to his ex-wife, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). Currently, Carly is up against the wall trying to figure out how to pay a $5 million fine to the SEC. So far, it looks like her plan is to sell the lake home but she has raised her family in. Sonny may not be able to pay the fine for her, but that doesn’t mean he can’t buy the house back to let her stay in it, does it? How will Nina feel about that, and will Sonny’s explanation that he’s doing it for his children hold up in Nina’s court?
She may be too busy to notice, which will benefit Carly when tragedy strikes again after her mother — Bobbie Spencer (Jaclyn Zeman) — unexpectedly dies. Will Sonny ride to her rescue and ease her grief as Nina remains tangled up with Eddie? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
