General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) gleefully accepted Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) request to move in with her. These two besties really enjoyed sharing a dorm with each other; it was a nice way to welcome Trina back after the first year of college she had which was quite tumultuous. Trina wasn’t ready to go back home and face the music of her relationship with her mother, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). So Joss‘ invitation came at just the right time. However, things are about to start ramping up with Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) business and it’s going to leave Trina feeling a little less than safe staying at Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) place. So when a new invitation comes her way — from Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez), she just might take it.
Trina only needs a temporary home. We’re not talking about her and Spencer living together long-term. Rather, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) is leaving town with Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) for a while to go look for Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) in Chechnya. That means Spencer is going to be home alone with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and his baby brother, Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay). There’s nothing he would like more than to have Trina there to balance them out. After all, he can’t risk getting into battles with Esme and it’ll be hard for him to avoid doing such without his grandmother there reeling him in. But when Trina accepts Spencer‘s offer and moves in with him, she’s going to find that things aren’t quite how she expected them to be.
All of this time, Trina has really admired Spencer‘s ability to step up to the plate. He was willing to seek custody of his baby brother, and that showed her that he had really matured and was ready to be an adult. Trina had been looking for that kind of growth in Spencer ever since they first met. But the reality is, Spencer may now be outgrowing Trina. While she’s on a good track — and Trina is definitely mature beyond her years — that doesn’t mean she’s ready to be a mother. When she sees Spencer and Esme living the family life with baby Ace, Trina may start to wonder whether she’s really cut out for the life that Spencer sees himself in. Furthermore, she’ll start to question whether things are as bad between Spencer and Esme as he usually implies.
From an outsider’s perspective, Trina will notice that things are running quite fluidly at Laura’s place. Spencer and Esme really don’t get into it with one another all that often. Rather, it seems like he’s coming around to see her as more of a victim, and he quite enjoys watching her with Ace. Is Spencer coming to respect Esme as Ace’s mother? This realization might lead Trina to question whether they should be going after Esme at all. Of course, Spencer will deny feeling anything but hatred towards her, but the writing will be on the wall. Will this difference of opinion lead Spencer and Trina to end up on opposite sides of the fence when it comes to persecuting Esme for crimes she committed?
