General Hospital (GH) Spoilers reveal Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) didn’t exactly beg Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to install himself as the brains behind Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) operation. More so, she told him he had to. It’s a matter of life and death — for his entire family. No sweat. Mikey took on the challenge with pride because suddenly, he was not angry with his father anymore. Rather, he’d like to forsake all that is dear to him to make sure no one pulls the wool over Sonny’s eyes or makes a fool of him. It all makes sense, right? She was supposed to be moving on with Drew into a footloose and fancy-free life where they take never-ending vacations to Florida and stare longingly into each other’s eyes while the viewers allegedly weep — with either joy or exhaustion. It’s possible that the former mafia wife is missing all that drama Sonny brought her way. Once a woman gets used to living that lifestyle, it can be hard to part ways with. Is she itching to feel important and powerful again? Carly might not necessarily miss Sonny, but she could miss the element of mystery, risk, and adrenaline he brought into her life. Maybe she just wants to live vicariously through her son right now and have the best of both worlds.
