Days of our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for the week of June 12, 2023, show that there’s a bit of fun in the works for two leading Salem ladies. Fans will be seeing double when Deidre Hall (Marlena Evan) and Mary Beth Evans (Kayla Johnson) appear in entirely different roles.

It happens when Abe Reynolds (James Reynolds) and Nurse Whitley (Kim Coles) watch tv and they tune in to, what else, a soap opera!

On Wednesday, June 14 Abe and his captor sit down to view a soap called Body and Soul. As they watch fans will see Hall playing Charlamagne, and Evans playing Kassandra.

Abe has been kidnapped by lunatic nurse Whitley and when Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) knocks on his door, the convalescing man is too scared to open it.

James Reynolds originated the role of Abe Carver in 1981. At this time he is the fifth longest-serving actor on the show which debuted on NBC and is now seen on its streamer, Peacock.

Abe has been in many scrapes and triumphs over the years and fans were crushed when his beloved wife Lexie Carver died much too young. Despite her being the daughter of nefarious Stefano DiMera (the late Joseph Mascolo), Honest Abe and Lexi had a true love story.

Abe also has three kids: Brandon Walker, Theo Carver, and, Lani Price. Lani is in jail for murdering her biological father and before that Abe was proud of her accomplishments as a Salem PD cop. Currently, he is being held captive by Whitley who is pretending to be Paulina Price (Jackee Harry).

For those not acquainted with the character, Abe grew up in Salem with his brothers Theo and Jonah and his sister Karen.

Abe joined the Salem Police Department after Theo was killed by a corrupt police officer, and vowed to clean up the city he loved. Unfortunately, this included Stefano DiMera, the father of the love of his life.
