The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) was convinced that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) was treating her like a fool. So, she flew to Los Angeles, California, likely paying a high price for a last-minute ticket.

Elena apparently experienced no flight delays, as many others have in the real world, because she soon arrived in LA. Viewers suspended disbelief when Elena appeared at the hotel’s rooftop restaurant. How she knew where the cheaters were was not plausible.

However, it was reasonable for Elena to be irate. The drink she threw in Nate’s face was classic soap. But, to his credit, Nate finally told the woman he claimed to love the truth.

Victor was bound and ruthlessly determined to be with Nate. Sitting in her father’s highchair deepened the amoral ego the Newman family projects into the world.

Nate was telling Elena the truth during his outdoor scene confession. He did try to resist Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) pull. But she was relentless and had the ability to advance his career.

Elena did what she had to do after Genoa City, Wisconsin’s modern edition of Leanna Love (Barbara Crampton), Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), made sure to tell her Nate was not by himself on a business trip.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Nate Hastings Is Busted

Nate wanted to be with Elena when his cousin was committed to her. Dominic’s character paid a heavy price for realizing that desire, with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) punching him in the face. That sock to his kisser led to Nate’s fall, one of his hands shattering, and his surgical career ended.

Viewers know that Nate was unable to continue with his vocation. There is no reason to believe his career would have been derailed if the confrontation with Devon did not happen.

So, what happens to Nate when the Newman clan learns Victoria is involved with him? Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) may serve as the Leanna role unless Audra ensures the right people at Newman Enterprises learn what happened.

Where Does Elena Dawson Go From Here?

Elena regretted the hard split from Devon. But she concluded not being married meant her feelings for Nate led to the switch.

She was wronged, like Devon. A return to James’ character seems unlikely. While she may commiserate with her ex-boyfriend, he is committed to the mother of his firstborn, Abby Newman Abbott (Melissa Ordway).

But romantic pursuits may not be Elena’s near-term focus as she hopes to draw JT Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) to GC. Hopefully, Elena does not pursue the empty road of vengeance on Y&R.
