Days Of Our Lives (DOOL) Spoilers: Colin Escapes, Abe Disappears – Is Colin The Nurse Abe Thinks Is Paulina?

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers and updates tease Colin Bedford (Jasper Newman) escapes, and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) disappears! Abe sees a “nurse” he thinks is Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) but could the “nurse” really be Colin?

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Abe Carver Suffered A Serious Brain Bleed

After Colin hit Abe in the head with a rolling pin and left him to die on the floor of Sweet Bits, Abe suffered a serious brain bleed. Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) got to him in time to get him to Salem University Hospital, where emergency brain surgery was performed, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be back to normal. Abe will eventually be back to normal, but anything from brain swelling to aftereffects of anesthesia could cause confusion and even hallucinations, and that might explain a few things.

Abe will see a “nurse” in his room who he thinks is his wife, Paulina but unfortunately for Abe, it won’t be. Coincidentally, or perhaps not, Colin somehow escapes police custody and Abe disappears.

Days Of Our Lives Updates – Alternate Explanations?

Of course, it’s possible that Abe could be hallucinating Paulina in his room or hallucinating a real nurse like Paulina, but it’s not. He could, in his confused state, follow “Paulina” out of the room and wander around Salem hallucinating or seeming to be suffering from dementia. No matter what the circumstances of Abe’s disappearance, Paulina will panic when it comes to her attention, and unfortunately, Salem University Hospital doesn’t seem to have a security camera system. With everything that has happened there in the past, one would think every hall would be camera-ready, but then, this is Salem, and apparently, they don’t have IT people. Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) had a security system with cameras installed at the DiMera mansion years ago, why doesn’t the hospital that’s stupid!

Coincidence – Probably Not!

It’s probably not a coincidence that Colin escapes right before Abe goes missing-he does run into Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) who gives him the chance to tell his story. However, Colin may not have time because he doesn’t want to be caught and returned to jail. He could have been the “nurse” Abe thought he saw and Leo catches him somewhere in the hospital.

Or, Colin could run into a confused Abe who took off on his own, before anyone else sees him – he’s being obviously running around in his hospital gown, however.  It’s much more likely he’s already kidnapped Abe from his hospital room and has him stashed somewhere by the time he runs into Leo!
