Hardcore viewers recall that Diane (then played by Maura West) colluded with Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan). Together they made it appear Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) killed Diane on a bridge in the park.

Viewers did not know Diane orchestrated that ruse until Walters reprised the role she played before West joined the cast. Diane’s comeback included the reveal where she and Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) were connected in Los Angeles, California.

Believing that turnabout is fair play, Jeremy took Diane’s lead and went one dark step further. Viewers were not let in on this part of the veiled plot. But it appears he asked Phyllis to fake her death with Diane having poisoned her.

Jeremy Stark Open With Phyllis Summers?

Jeremy likely hired the emergency medical technician, Carson (no last name known for the character played by Walter Belenky), who helped orchestrate the supposed ambulance crash.

Carson’s statement to Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) included seeing the ambulance driver, and Phyllis consumed in flames, implying they met their fiery deaths. But Belenky’s character also claims Phyllis awakened in the ambulance, which was oddly diverted from the direction of the hospital to Collins Street.

Has Jeremy been fully open with Phyllis? Yes, he needs her to get Diane. But Jeremy also intends to win at any cost on Y&R.
